General Description:

Perform cryogenic measurements of state-of-the-art semiconductor spin qubit devices to characterize their performance and physical properties as part of a collaborative, ambitious, goal-oriented, multi-disciplinary team focused on maturation of the technology.


Essential Duties:

Conduct low-noise, cryogenic experiments on sensitive spin qubit devices, develop new measurement techniques and methods, analyze results, write script level code to support experimental development and data analysis, report findings to other team members in oral presentations and written reports, analyze measurement results through application of relevant theory and modeling to define approaches for further device improvements in performance and/or yield.

Collaborate with measurement-system-engineering team and utilize applicable engineering analysis tools to identify and implement improvements to qubit-control, interconnect, and environmental subsystems.


Required Skills:

Detailed knowledge of modern experimental physics techniques including troubleshooting analog electronics and noise analysis, familiarity with scientific programming for data analysis and hardware interfacing (specific language is not critical), experience in scientific communication through technical presentations and journal publications.


Required Education:

Ph.D. in Physics, Applied Physics, or Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on quantum devices or technologies.

Candidates with additional experience may be considered for more advanced positions.

Expected experience of BA/BS + 6 years of industry experience, MS + 4 years of industry experience, or doctoral degree.


Physical Requirements:

Must be able to climb ladders to use elevated test equipment.

Must be able to work safely in a laboratory environment.

Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods.


Special Requirements

U.S. citizenship.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance as required


Compensation:

The base salary range for this full-time position is $132,765 - $165,983 + bonus + benefits.
