As a Manufacturing Quality Systems Engineer, you will ensure quality assurance by refining production methods, analyzing data for consistent improvements, conducting audits, and training staff in quality standards. You will support the Quality Manager in implementing policies and procedures, while assisting with investigations and developing plant programs aimed at quality control and compliance.

What You Will Do:

As Manufacturing Quality Systems Engineer you will provide quality assurance support and refine production methods. You will also be responsible for analyzing data to provide continuous improvements to the supplier's products and develop methods for testing, sampling and training to ensure required standards are being met.

How you will do it:

  • Conducts site assessments, reviews and self-inspections.  Analyzes and interprets results, recommends appropriate corrective actions, communicates results and follows up on issues or concerns until completion.

  • Conduct quality audits; coordinate plant preparation for corporate audits.

  • Assists in conducting site investigations for all quality-related incidents, prepares reports and facilities activities related to identified corrective actions. 

  • Assists with the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and ensures the implementation of quality requirements accordingly.

  • Develops and administers effective quality programs, and maintenance of quality-related policy and procedure manuals.

  • Educates, motivates and trains line supervision and production personnel in best practices, and quality procedures and requirements, etc.

  • Assist Quality Manager administration of Clarios Quality Management System (QMS) policies and procedures.

  • Develops and implements effective plant programs for the identification, prevention and control of quality issues. Develops and coordinates plant quality education and training programs. 

  • Assists in reviewing all manufacturing and support operations to assure ongoing quality compliance. Develops and implements audit programs to review and assure compliance with applicable quality standards.

  • Maintain professional competency through participation in professional education and training programs and completion of any necessary requirements to maintain professional credentials.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What we look for:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering.

  • 2+ years quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment. 

  • Previous Automotive or Tier 1 experience. 

Preferred:

  • Experience in ISO 9000, IATF16949 or IQS standards.

  • ASQ Certification.
