The Plant Quality Manager, while reporting to the Market/Regional Quality Manager, is responsible for providing overall quality leadership to this plant, maintaining, and improving the quality systems as prescribed by the plant’s division or by the corporate standards. Duties include management of change
control, data collection applications, test methods & testing equipment, standard instructions, audits, manuals, and other routine quality system areas. In addition, Plant Quality Managers must serve as the point of contact with customers when product or service quality exceptions occur.
What you will be doing:

Provide hands-on management of the elements of the QMS (Quality Management System)
-
These include quality action plans, corrective actions, supplier quality management,
-
customer complaints, standard work, audit processes, standard procedures, test methods, data collection, and process controls.

Generate scorecards and reports for all aspects of plant quality, not limited to and including VOC, CARs, SCARs, COAs, SPC reporting, losses, product safety, internal, third party & customer audits, and change control processes.

Manage the food safety team and organize its work, ensure relevant training and education of the food safety team members. Ensure the food safety management system is established, implemented, maintained, and updated.

Act as the lead plant representative for any meetings or interactions with customers as it relates to product or service quality.

Participate on teams and lead efforts towards continuous quality improvement initiatives within the plant.

Identify, define, and promote awareness of customer requirements for the plant.

Responsible for managing all change control activities, performing line validations as major changes occur or new products are introduced.

4-year degree; 3-5 years of experience as a Quality Manager in a manufacturing environment.

Solid Problem-Solving skills

Analytical skills and statistical analysis proficiency

Experience as a leader of project teams

Strong verbal & written communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint)

Statistical Software (i.e. Minitab)

Six Sigma Green Belt certified is preferred

Quality Management Systems experience with ISO9001 a plus
Compensation:

The annual base salary range for this role is from $80,320 to $90,360, plus quarterly target bonus of 12.5% of base salary.
