Purpose Statement:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Livingston, UK. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute significantly to the growth and success of our new facility while developing your career within a global leader in electronics manufacturing.

The Quality Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring product quality and compliance by leading the investigation and resolution of non-conformances and customer complaints. This position is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Quality Management System (QMS) and driving continuous improvement across all manufacturing operations.

Key Job Accountabilities:

• QMS Management: Lead the development, deployment, and oversight of site-level QMS metrics to monitor process effectiveness and compliance.
• Product Compliance: Ensure product compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and Plexus standards.
• Change Management: Review and approve all changes and deviations from established procedures, including Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
• Validation & Audits: Support the development and execution of validation activities. Lead the coordination of internal and external audits, including customer audits and QMS recertification activities.
• Non-Conformance & Complaint Resolution: Lead the investigation and resolution of non-conformances and customer complaints through root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and containment activities.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor manufacturing operations to ensure quality compliance, identify and address quality issues, and lead containment and purge activities as needed.
• Quality Training & Awareness: Educate operators and production teams on quality procedures and best practices to foster a strong quality culture.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
• Previous experience in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills.
• Experience with quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949 preferred).
• Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• Proactive and results-oriented with a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
