The Job
Unchained Labs is looking for Quality Control Technician in Pleasanton, CA to ensure our products leave our production floor in top condition. This job will perform quality control and quality assurance inspection and testing functions associated with product manufacturing and shipping. This includes set-up, calibration tasks and quality testing related to production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies. You will use computer programs to collect and evaluate data. You will work closely with engineering to determine and assist in developing methods and procedures to control and/or modify inspection processes.
This is a FULL-TIME role, with excellent benefits and a lot of flexibility for your work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Operates newly manufactured benchtop instruments to complete final quality control procedures
- Performs special inspections of product (First Article Sample evaluation)
- Inspect and verify the product and documentation to release final product for shipment.
- Identify and record product or documentation quality issues
- Issue nonconformance reports as necessary and work with engineers on resolution
- Performs routine visual and measurement inspections of products (Receiving; In-process; Final QA; etc.)
- Assists product and process failure analysis
- Collects data and does basic statistical analysis and reporting
- Assist procedure development and maintenance
Qualifications
- College or Technical School degree or equivalent industry experience
- 3 years’ experience in QA/QC role supporting production of complex high-tech instruments or equipment, even better if it’s in the life-science space!
- Very detail oriented and organized
- A true self starter that can effectively triage and prioritize many tasks
- Computer savvy and experience with common measurement and testing tools and equipment
- Able to read and understand Device History Records, drawings, specifications, and reports
- Must have good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
- Driven, ambitious, adaptable, gritty, and unafraid of a heavy workload to accomplish something amazing.
- Able to lift heavy products up to 40 lbs
- Must adhere and comply with all the Company’s policies
Compensation
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $51,000 - $85,000. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual base salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation
practices. This role is also eligible for our annual bonus or commission program, and
comprehensive health and retirement benefit programs.
