Gerresheimer Peachtree City L.P. was established in 1993 in Peachtree City, GA, as part of the Plastics & Devices Division manufacturing and assembling a variety of precision molded plastic parts for various applications in the medical industry. The subsidiary operates in an 87,500 sq. ft. production facility with 350 employees.
Job Description
The QC Supervisor will provide direct supervision to the QC Lead and all team members. Provides technical management of the shift by ensuring proper day to day operations. Enforces Quality and company policies and procedures throughout the shifts and plant.
- Train team members on safe work practices and promote safe work habits.
- Perform varied Quality related task including but not limited to attend Non-conformance meetings, provide guidance to operations,
- Assist in all aspects of training each team member on all department related procedures and work instructions.
- Ensure that all team member training is documented and provided to HR for record keeping.
- Ensure that all team members are cross trained, as applicable (DHR and QC Inspectors).
- Coach and guide current and new team members so that they understand work assignments and methods of completing tasks.
- Observes production runs; responds to potential deviations and defects during the production runs.
- Participate during troubleshooting sessions Operations staff, Process Engineers, Process Technicians and Production Supervisor, others as applicable.
- Maintain updated knowledge of the quality criteria for each product to provide assistance and ensure the quality of the products produced by the team.
- Audit employee’s adherence to work instructions and quality requirements.
- Monitor production to ensure operators are packing first quality product at all time and labeling the product correctly.
- Notify Supervisor Production of any non-standard or sub-performance operational issues as well as quality and safety issues.
- Ensure that established policies, procedures, rules and regulations are understood and followed.
Qualifications
- Successfully demonstrate competencies as an individual contributor, including, but not limited to functional/technical skills, actions oriented, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
- High School Diploma and/or equivalent 4 years’ experience.
- Experience working within a control environment (parts measurements lab).
- Experience working with different types of measurement equipment such as but not limited to CMM, O’Inspect, Micro-Vue, gauges, microscopes, calipers, etc.
- Experienced knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice within the Medical or Food Industry.
- Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment with constant interaction with operators, technicians and equipment.
- Experience in problem solving and troubleshooting of processes and process equipment.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent verbal communication skills. Must speak, read, and write English.
- Experience working in Microsoft products, SAP-QIM.
- Additional duties as assigned by Quality management.
