Job Description:
Key responsibilities for the quality control engineer includes:
- Implements and develops a Quality Management System
- Develop, review, and maintain, with the support of all company departments, the Quality Plan, Policies, and Procedures in accordance with the QMS and ISO 9001:2015
- Advise project stakeholders on the state of the Quality Management System, audit results, procedure implementation, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate and attend any Quality Management review process in order to assess the effectiveness of the Quality Management System making adjustments as deemed necessary.
- Prepares and leads internal audit schedules, initiates timely such audits, and prepares reports for management's follow-up.
- Assist in investigating complaints and non-conformities and recommend corrective action. Develop NCRs and Corrective Action Reports and ensure closure of the action items.
- Review and ensure good documentation practices compliance with respect to QMS and operation & maintenance related records and documentation.
- Subject Matter Expert with all Quality Procedures. Develop a good understanding of procedures and requirements for the rest of key Departments.
- Ensure that the appropriate personnel receive training on the Quality Management System, Quality Onboarding.
- Serve as liaison with owners’ representative regarding quality-related matters.
- Responsible within the project regarding all aspects related to quality assurance.
- Oversees the Document Management requirements from all Departments through the electronic document management system.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or similar disciplines.
- The Quality Manager must be a full-time in the location of the project.
- It is desirable to have five (5) years of experience in QC pavement construction with prior QC experience on large projects.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact at a variety of levels throughout Ferrovial and the client
- Cooperative, collaborative, ability to work with different departments
- Experience of working in different and large infrastructure and construction projects
- Experience in management multiple and interdisciplinary team
- Being committed, demonstration of leadership capabilities, and ability to solve problems efficiently and optimize working promises without impacting quality performance
- Any of the following requirements will be positively valued:
- Professional Engineer with one (1) year of airport paving experience.
- Engineer-in-training with two (2) years of airport paving experience.
- National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) Civil Engineering Technology Level IV with three (3) years of airport paving experience.
- An individual with four (4) years of airport paving experience, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology or Construction.
