700Apps is looking for a skilled Quality Control Lead to join our dynamic team. As a Quality Control Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes of our software products, ensuring they meet both client expectations and industry standards. Your leadership will guide a team of quality control professionals as you implement testing strategies, manage quality metrics, and drive improvements to our testing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of quality control engineers, providing guidance and support in testing activities.
- Develop and implement comprehensive quality control strategies and testing methodologies.
- Design, execute, and manage detailed test plans and test cases for software releases.
- Analyze test results, identify issues, and collaborate with development teams for defect resolution.
- Ensure thorough documentation of test processes, outcomes, and best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the quality control process, focusing on efficiency and effectiveness.
- Prepare and present quality metrics and reports to stakeholders, highlighting areas for improvement.
- Stay updated on industry trends and testing tools to enhance our quality control practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in quality control or software testing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies and best practices.
- Experience with manual and automated testing, including test planning, execution, and defect tracking.
- Familiarity with testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in SQL/Oracle databases and API testing tools (Postman/Soap UI).
- Experience in agile development methodologies is a plus.
- ISTQB certification or similar is a plus.
