Position Summary: As a QA Specialist you will be responsible for conducting thorough quality checks on background screening reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards. You will learn this role through a combination of trainer facilitated learning and hands on experience. In this position you will report to the department Supervisor/Team Lead.

Essential functions, responsibilities: 

  • Conduct thorough quality checks on background screening reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards.  
  • Review and verify the information provided in background reports, ensuring data integrity and consistency.  
  • Analyze background screening processes to identify potential areas for improvement and efficiency.  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and implement quality control measures and guidelines for background screening services.  
  • Monitor and evaluate adherence to quality standards and protocols during the background screening process.  
  • Provide feedback and coaching to team members to enhance their understanding of quality expectations and improve their performance.  
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of quality documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality assurance guidelines.  
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action planning to address identified quality issues and prevent recurrence.  
  • Handle inquiries and concerns related to quality from internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution and communication.  
  • Track and report on quality metrics, trends, and performance indicators to management and relevant teams.  
  • Support in the implementation of new quality control processes and technologies to enhance operational effectiveness.  
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and changes in regulations related to background screening to ensure compliance and alignment with quality standards.  
  • Assist in audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to organizational policies, industry regulations, and quality guidelines.  
  • Perform ad-hoc quality-related projects and duties as assigned by management.

Key Skills & Abilities: 

  • Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate or equivalent in relevant work experience.  
  • 1 year of previous work-related experience in quality control, assurance, or a related field required.  
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to meticulously review and analyze background screening reports and processes.  
  • Proficiency in personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite with a strong focus on Excel.  
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive information.  
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.  
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards.  
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize work effectively to meet deadlines and achieve quality

Training Schedule: Mon - Fri 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CST

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday to fall within our Hours of Operation 7:00 am – 6:00 pm CST
