Inside the Role
We are looking for a quality engineer to monitor and improve the quality of our operational processes and outputs. The quality engineer's responsibilities include designing quality standards, inspecting materials, equipment, processes, and products, warranty analysis, developing quality control systems, and determining corrective actions. You will also work with managers and supervisors to implement quality measures. A successful quality engineer should have excellent troubleshooting skills and be able to ensure that processes and products consistently meet established quality standards.

What You Drive at DTNA

Drive continuous improvement within Quality Department. Develops and implements new methodology/technology as the industry progresses. Performs gage R&R’s and statistical analysis of existing and new processes.

Works with Manufacturing Engineers and Warranty Group to test and/or measure products for conformance to specifications. Testing includes the use of precision measuring instruments and test equipment. Coordinate internal root cause and corrective actions activities.

Analyzes warranty data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance service delivery and product reliability.

Provides quality assurance view point to support current production and the development of new products for remanufacture. Works with interdepartmental teams to understand the cause of process deviations and how to correct them.

Oversees vendor inspection processes to insure that the initial and continuous supply of products meets company standards. Coordinates activities with suppliers to bring about corrective actions for known problems.

Analyzes and interprets blueprints, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures for new and existing products. Determines and implements gauging for such procedures. Ability to design or review gage design in relation to blue print tolerances.

Oversees individual projects which may consist of combinations of previously described efforts.

Conduct and lead Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to identify risks and possible errors from different sources.

Maintains PPAP’s, completing all paperwork as required for tracking and timely submittal, and document control including distribution/removal of obsolete prints, forms and or work instructions.
Knowledge You Should Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 0-2 years quality experience required.

Proficiency in the use of MS office.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Strategic thinker with proven problem-solving skills.

Hands-on product development experience.

Experience with project management, teamwork, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.

Adaptability and willingness to learn new techniques and skills.

Requires understanding of key business drivers.

Works independently within guidelines and policies to solve problems of moderate complexity.

May lead projects or processes as required
Exceptional Candidates Might Have

2-4 years of relevant experience.

Experience with ISO 9001-2015 or equivalent quality management systems.
