Job Summary:
The Quality Assurance BSA Specialist position manages corporate quality assurance reviews for the processes of the Financial Intelligence Unit. The scope of work for the position includes ongoing reviews of Suspicious Activity Reports, AML Alert Notes, Compliance with 314a, SAR Board reporting, and Closed Cases.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

- Conduct Quality Assurance reviews of the FIU department’s processes and quality of work as per the bank’s policies and procedures
- Document reviews and findings
- Recommend corrective action steps to Management as deemed necessary based on reviews
- Prepare and update Quality Assurance Reports for Management oversight
- Act as a contact for FIU Officers to ensure quality assurance action items are addressed
- Create and analyze tracking documents for all exceptions/type of exceptions found in the Quality Assurance reviews
- Communicate recommendations and/or findings to Executive Management as needed
- Research and respond to inquiries from Management
- Recommend procedural/training improvements as deemed necessary
- Special Projects related to BSA/AML/SAR Process as assigned
- Other activities assigned as deemed necessary by Management

EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice or related field
- Overall understanding of investigative processes, reporting of information to management, attention to detail, analysis and use of judgment to evaluate the outcome of reviews conducted
- 3-5 years banking experience, prior fraud/AML investigation experience preferred
- Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) credential preferred but not required
