Description of role:
QMS / OHSMS / EMS
The QHSE Representative is responsible for ensuring that all employees, students, visitors and contractors complete their activities safely, allowing them to return home uninjured, and with minimal impact to the environment, whilst working for TWI.
To work closely with Global Head of QHSE and Senior QHSE Executive (Malaysia) to manage SEA QHSE Department in developing and implementing an effective Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS18001/ISO 45001) in the organization.
- Develop, implement and manage QHSE policies and procedures
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations
- Prepare and maintain QHSE documentation, reports and records
- Provide training and awareness programs to employees regarding QHSE policies
- Investigate incidents and accidents, conduct root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
- Collaborative with various departments to promote a culture of safety and quality throughout the organization
- Monitor and analyze QHSE performance metrics, preparing recommendations for improvement
- Stay updated with changes in regulations and standards related to QHSE
- Facilitate communication with stakeholders regarding QHSE matters
- Consult QHSE committees and actively participate in safety meetings
Requirements of the role:
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in OHS Engineering or a related field and establishing & reviewing documentation
- Relevant certificates – eg: NIOSH, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 – are a plus
- Strong knowledge of QHSE regulations and best practices
- Excellence analytical, problem solving and communication skills
- Strong leadership capabilities and ability to work as part of a team
- Able to lead and conduct meetings, training and programs
- A self-starter, proactive, punctual, honest and a team player
- Possess own transportation
- Able to travel domestically and internationally (as and when required)
