Job Description
As a QA Tester, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. Your responsibilities will be manual testing across both desktop and mobile platforms, leveraging your experience and understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices. Your role will involve close collaboration with development and QA teams to ensure that all defects are identified, documented, and resolved before product release.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manual Testing: Execute detailed manual test cases on desktop and mobile applications to ensure software meets functional and non-functional requirements.
- Defect Tracking and Resolution: Collaborate with the development team to report, track, and resolve defects efficiently, ensuring high-quality software delivery.
- Test Case Development: Work closely with QA Analysts to design and develop comprehensive test cases that cover all aspects of the software, including edge cases and potential failure points.
- Test Planning: Contribute to the creation and refinement of test plans and strategies, ensuring all features are thoroughly tested before release.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain a high standard of quality assurance throughout the software development lifecycle, identifying areas for improvement in both the testing process and the product itself.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in manual testing, focused on web and mobile application testing.
- Software Development Lifecycle Knowledge: Strong understanding of both QA and software development lifecycles, with the ability to integrate testing processes seamlessly into the overall development process.
- Communication: Proficient in reading and writing in English (at least a B2 level), with the ability to clearly document test cases, defects, and reports.
- Tool Proficiency: Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Test Management tools, with a proven ability to manage and document testing activities.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, ensuring all potential issues are identified and addressed before product release.
- Proactivity and Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to handle ad-hoc requests and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaboration: A team player who works flexibly and collaboratively, with a focus on achieving the overall success of the team and the project.
Desired Skills
- Test Automation Experience: Familiarity with automation testing tools like Selenium and Appium, with the ability to work closely with automation teams.
- Programming Knowledge: Basic understanding of JavaScript, which will be beneficial when working with development teams or automation scripts.
- Integrated Development Environment (IDE) Experience: Experience working with IDEs such as IntelliJ, Eclipse, or similar tools, allowing for a better understanding of the development environment and processes.
- Functional Analysis: Experience in functional analysis and test case design, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all test scenarios.
- Continuous Learning: A desire to stay updated with the latest trends in QA and software development, with a willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
