Position: QA Lead
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Responsibilities: Review requirements, specifications, user documentation, help files, and other project documentation to assure quality of InStride’s products and tests to be developed; Define and communicate accurate test plans/test scripts and provide qualitative and quantitative status/defect reports in a timely fashion; Collaborate with QA and Production team members to design test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures; install, maintain, and use software testing programs, and test system modifications to deliver high-quality experiences to InStride’s partners; Test system modifications to prepare for implementation, and modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware and improve its performance; Lead end-to-end test plans, ensuring that all objectives are met and solutions work as expected; Build and manage testing estimates,
schedules, timelines, bug analytics/metrics, and mitigation plans; Collaborate with TPMs to interface with other QA resources and the development team to track defects during feature development; Drive the development and execution of test specs, test cases, and suites for new features; Deliver clear reports to leadership as features under test move through each development phase; Continuously improve tests and processes with a drive towards innovation and process improvements; Develop and maintain test case repository based on specification; Drive automation testing efforts and helps convert manual testing scenarios to
automated ones; and Review automated testing scenarios to match behavior with manual testing efforts.
Educ./experience: Master’s degree or foreign education equivalent in Computer Science, Computer and Information Technology, or a related field plus two (2) years of post-baccalaureate experience as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, or related position. Experience must include writing test case scripts, performing functional, regression, and user acceptance testing, automating web and API test cases, Java, SQL, ALM, and JIRA.
Target base compensation amount for this role outlined below. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts shown below.
$136,490—$194,300 USD
