Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud QA Lead to design, implement, and optimize end-to-end quality assurance processes for Weka cloud systems. As a Cloud QA Lead, you will be responsible for developing scalable testing strategies, automation frameworks, and quality control processes across multiple cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure.). You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of cloud applications and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with cloud platforms, test automation as well as a deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud-native architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Cloud QA Strategy: Design and implement a comprehensive QA strategy tailored for  Weka cloud environments, focusing on automation, performance, scalability, and security testing.
  • Architect Automation Frameworks: Build and enhance robust, scalable, and reusable test automation frameworks that support multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Cloud-Based Test Automation: Develop and deploy automated testing processes for cloud applications, infrastructure, and services, including integration, functional, load, and performance testing.
  • Test Execution & Coverage: Design and oversee the execution of test cases for the Weka cloud system, ensuring high test coverage and identifying key failure points across the system. 
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Integrate QA processes into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous testing and quality feedback during the development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with developers, cloud engineers, DevOps, and product teams to identify risks, resolve defects, and ensure high-quality cloud deployments.
  • Cloud Security Testing: Implement and manage testing strategies for cloud security, ensuring adherence to industry standards and compliance requirements.
  • Performance and Scalability Testing: Design and execute performance and load tests to ensure cloud applications can scale effectively under varying loads.
  • Monitor & Report Quality Metrics: Establish and track quality metrics and KPIs to monitor the overall quality of cloud-based systems, identify areas for improvement, and report on QA effectiveness.
  • Stay Updated on Cloud Technologies: Keep up to date with the latest advancements in cloud technologies and tools, implementing new methods to optimize QA processes in a cloud-native environment.

Key Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 5+ years in QA with a strong focus on cloud technologies.
  • Proven experience designing QA strategies and test automation frameworks for cloud-based applications.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and/or Azure.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure testing.
  • 2+ years of managerial experience

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in test automation tools (Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cypress, etc.).
  • Experience with cloud automation tools (Terraform). 
  • Strong programming/scripting skills (Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.).
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Kubernetes Operator).
  • K8S testing


Cloud & Infrastructure Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of cloud security, networking, and infrastructure monitoring.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive QA best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Architect, etc.).
  • Understanding of chaos engineering and resilience testing for cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native observability tools ( Grafana / Elastic ).
