Job Description
We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join our client in the banking sector. The role involves developing, executing, and managing automated test scripts and processes to ensure software quality and efficiency in a highly regulated environment. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, familiarity with various automation tools, and experience with database and scripting languages.
Key Responsibilities:

Test Automation Development:
- Design and implement automated test scripts using VBA/VBS, PowerShell, BourneShell/KSH, Python, and other scripting languages.
- Conduct automation feasibility and ROI studies, develop proof-of-concepts (POCs), and maintain existing scripts for system reliability.

Database Management and Scripting:
- Leverage database expertise with SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL to support test data management and validation during automated testing.

Execution and Reporting:
- Execute automated test campaigns and report on test results, collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve overall software quality.

Testing Methodologies and Tools:
- Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Model-Based Testing (MBT) methodologies to enhance automation processes.
- Utilize tools like SoapUI, Postman, and Robot Framework (nice to have) for API testing and automation management.

CI/CD and Version Control:
- Manage test orchestration with Jenkins and ensure version control and collaboration through GIT/GitLab.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
- Required: VBA/VBS, PowerShell, BourneShell/KSH, Python, SQL, Jenkins, SoapUI, Postman, GIT/GitLab
- Nice to have: Java, Robot Framework
Certifications:
- ISTQB Foundation certification required;
- Test Manager or Test Analyst certification is a plus
