POSITION OVERVIEW

The Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer role is an entry level position within the e2open Development team, ensuring our software meets the needs of our customers and the highest quality standards.  Using a variety of tools and techniques, the QA Engineer delivers high quality products according to the specifications outlined by Product Management and corporate standards.

RESPONSIBILITES:

Communication

  • Able to communicate well with others
  • Ask questions without hesitation. Pursue resolution diligently until an answer is provided

Technology

  • Applied knowledge of programming languages
  • Experience with automated test tools
  • Knowledge of database structures, queries, and performance
  • Software build technologies including source control, build and branching, automation

Development

  • Cross train and learn new technologies
  • Review, design and implement test plans for enhancement feature requests to product functionality, ensuring minimal risk to existing product stability, reliability, and performance
  • Creates automated tests and proactively validates all developed software
  • Follows best practices for verification of security guidelines internally and in developed software
  • Follows product ‘stories’ to create software meeting or exceeding customer needs

Testing

  • Perform task level test planning & execution (Scope, Strategy, Task management etc.,)
  • Cultivate a thorough understanding of the Product under Testing
  • Create Documentation & Test reports on the assigned tasks
  • Demonstrate the Module/Application under test
  • Knowledge of security vulnerabilities and how to test for them
  • Follow a rigorous approach to quality assurance and testing
  • Support continuous test process improvement and creation of test/product metrics.
  • Ability to work on various new tools and technologies in test automation

Process

  • Follows processes, guidelines, procedures, and best practices defined by senior staff and management.
  • Work with members in the organization across various time zones.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

General Qualifications:

Technical Qualifications:

  • Testing experience in .NET applications on Azure, App Services
  • Strong English skills
  • Experience in API testing and performance testing
  • Experience in test automation and working experience with Postman, Selenium, or similar tools
  • Excellent analytical Skills
  • Strong SQL knowledge and should be able to write complex SQL Queries
  • Ability to understand data models and write test scripts based on the data model.
  • Ability to analyze requirements, create and execute test cases, track defects and report results
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming languages: C#
  • Familiarity with JSON and XML
  • Self-motivated, able to learn and research issues independently
  • ISTQB foundation certification
  • Ability to innovate and simplify
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud platforms, and knowledge of different PaaS services available with Azure Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with API standards
  • Exposure to Security and Performance testing
  • Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent domain
  • Experience in similar roles: 2-4 years

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

General office environment and responsibilities requiring:

  • Extensive use of computers involving viewing a monitor and keyboarding most of the workday
  • Placing, receiving, and participating in conference calls
  • Occasionally moving and lifting objects up to 20 pounds
  • May require 10% travel or more if needed
