We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Quality Engineer with a strong background in the electronics industry, IoT technologies, and product configuration and deployment. The ideal candidate will take a leadership role in driving quality management initiatives, ensuring compliance with industrial standards, and enhancing overall product quality. This position offers the opportunity to shape quality processes and contribute significantly to innovation and operational excellence.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead efforts to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and accessibility of product data and documentation, including CAD models, drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and engineering changes within the PLM system.
  • Take ownership of internal and external audits to evaluate production processes and ensure compliance with industrial standards and regulations, including ISO, IPC, ICEx, ATEX, UL, and CE.
  • Collaborate with and manage relationships with accredited certification bodies, such as CSA and Intertek, to ensure that product certification requirements are met.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve quality policies and procedures to enhance product quality, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze quality data and generate reports to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential risks, driving data-informed decision-making.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and preventive measures to resolve quality issues effectively.
  • Stay current with evolving industry regulations and standards, proactively ensuring compliance and identifying opportunities to adopt best practices.
  • Spearhead training initiatives to educate employees on Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and requirements, fostering a culture of quality excellence. 

 Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years in quality engineering or a related role, with a significant focus on electronics and IoT products.
  • Demonstrated ability to take a leading role in quality management initiatives, driving continuous improvement and managing cross-functional collaborations.
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial specifications and standards, including ISO 9001, IPC, ICEx, ATEX, UL, and CE, with hands on experience in certification audits.
  • Proficiency in using and administering Product Lifecycle Management (PLM – Windchill) as well as Enterprise Resource Planning (SAP) software.
  • Strong understanding of IoT technologies, product configuration, and deployment processes.
  • Proven expertise in statistical process control, root cause analysis, and implementing CAPA activities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with experience leading training and quality awareness programs.
  • Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO/IEC 80079-34 and experience maintaining compliance with evolving regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and statistical analysis tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Quality Engineer or other relevant certifications.
  • 5+ years in quality engineering or a related role, with a significant focus on electronics and IoT products.
  • Experience with quality management in IoT and electronics-based manufacturing environments.

Education:

  • A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
