The Role:
Grass Valley is seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA Engineer to contribute to developing our next-generation technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our software products, both cloud and on-premises deployments. Your primary focus will be on performing both manual validation and writing automation tests. You will work with high-end media processing platforms using specialized broadcast equipment and advanced network setups in our lab. Key Responsibilities:

  • Be involved in testing of major software components, systems, and features.
  • Provide technical support to engineers involved in feature development.
  • Actively participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle.
  • Apply best practices in software engineering, such as automated testing and hardware setup in lab.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and address any technical issues they may encounter.
  • Support development team with hardware configuration and creating complex workflows in the lab.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends.
  • Strive for personal growth and continuous improvement as an engineer.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in creating and executing Test Cases using different
    • Functional / not functional testing
    • Performance / load testing
    • Stress testing
  • Preparing test reports
  • Preparing test plans (senior)
  • Test automation using
    • Playwright (TypeScript)
    • PowerShell scripts
    • Python testing framework (custom)
  • Issues prioritization
  • Analytic thinking


Common:

  • Located in Krakow
  • Willing to work from office (not fully but regarding the local Lab it would be inevitable)
  • 2+ years of experience
