Job Description:

At Datasite we’re looking for QA Automation Engineers to help expand and maintain our automated test suite while working closely with product-facing teams to ensure high-quality releases.

We currently have 1,700+ automated test cases built in Selenium, Cucumber, and Node.js, covering our core front-end functionality. These test cases require ongoing maintenance, expansion, and optimization as new features are introduced. In addition, we have an extensive suite of API tests using Node.js & Cucumber, which play a critical role in our testing strategy.

In the near future, we plan to migrate our test framework to TypeScript and are actively evaluating Playwright as a potential replacement for Selenium to improve test reliability, speed, and maintainability. As part of this transition, you'll play a key role in shaping our next-generation test automation infrastructure.

Our local office in Heredia offers a hybrid work environment, where team members work on average 1- 2 days per week in-office. This approach allows us to blend the flexibility of remote work with the benefits of in-person collaboration, fostering a team-oriented atmosphere that thrives on communication and shared learning.

Responsibilities:

• Working closely with product-facing teams (PMs, designers, engineers) to define test strategies, identify gaps in coverage, and ensure automated tests align with real-world user workflows.

• Expanding and optimizing our test automation infrastructure, ensuring our test suite remains scalable, fast, and reliable as our product grows.

• Maintaining and improving our existing Selenium-based test suite, ensuring coverage for new features while refactoring tests to improve stability and reduce flakiness.

• Contributing to our API test suite in Node.js & Cucumber, validating data integrity and service interactions.

• Collaborating with DevOps & CI/CD teams to enhance test execution pipelines, improve parallelization, and reduce test runtime.

Our Ideal Candidate will have:

• Experience with front-end test automation using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks.

• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js, with experience writing clean, maintainable test code.

• Familiarity with Cucumber, BDD, and API testing.

• Experience working in agile development environments, collaborating closely with engineers, PMs, and designers.

• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.).
