Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented QA Automation Engineer with proficiency in Cypress to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test cases to uphold the quality and reliability of our products. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress for web applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and QA teams to understand requirements and create comprehensive test plans and strategies.
• Execute automated tests, analyze results, and provide detailed reports on defects, risks, and overall product quality.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure regular and reliable testing.
• Build and maintain regression test suites to ensure stability across releases.
• Review and optimize existing test automation scripts to improve performance and maintainability.
• Log, track, and verify defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Work closely with development teams to debug issues and ensure a seamless testing process.
• Define, track, and report quality metrics to measure and improve the automation process.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in QA automation, with a focus on web application testing.
• Expertise in using Cypress for end-to-end and UI test automation.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript for writing Cypress test scripts.
• Experience with test frameworks like Mocha, Chai, or similar.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience testing Single Page Applications (SPAs) built with React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman or Rest Assured.
• Knowledge of performance testing and tools such as JMeter or Gatling.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• ISTQB or equivalent certification is a plus.
