Summary:
As a Python Engineer at Securly, you will have the opportunity to work on multiple technologies. Our development scope extends from the device-specific driver, service, and communication protocols to cloud scalable connectivity, big data processing. The pace is fast. The process is agile.
This is an excellent opportunity to become a leading member of a small team of highly-skilled Python Engineers, fully supported by a group of UI and design experts, QA engineers, and DevOps engineers. There are many exciting projects on which to work. Securly, software developers excel at solving challenging problems, collaborating well, and working with multiple stakeholders to deploy solutions rapidly which enables student safety.
This is a hybrid working role from our regional engineering office in Pune, India.
Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- E./B.Tech. in Computer Science or higher degree in CS.
- 6-8 years of strong programming experience in Python.
- 2-3 years of programming experience in Golang is preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in AWS environment.
- 4-5 years of experience in NoSQL and SQL databases.
- Good knowledge of Unix systems.
- Working knowledge of distributed systems, network and messaging protocols, high availability, scalability and related technologies.
- Hands-on experience on any additional scripting language is a plus.
What You Will Do:
- Entails ownership of significant areas of the code for both new feature development and maintenance/redesign of existing areas of the product to accommodate rapidly evolving features.
- Continuous focus and contribution in the areas of manageability, availability, scalability, reliability, and maintainability of the product.
- Active participation in our ongoing process enhancements and software development practices.
- Development of new user-facing features.
- Building of reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Optimization of application for maximum speed and scalability.
- Collaboration with other team members and stakeholders.
