Our office is responsible for releasing and exploiting about 50 films annually from three studios: Universal, Paramount and Sony.
Job Description

  • The Publicity Manager is responsible for setting up, managing and implementing publicity campaigns from conception to final delivery for all Universal theatrical releases (representing the releases of Universal, Paramount & Sony) covering the Netherlands market. Objective: get as much publicity as possible resulting in more cinema visits to deliver against budget assigned target.
  • Responsible for coordinating, managing, and implementing publicity campaigns from conception to final delivery for each Universal, Paramount & Sony release. Ensure each release gets its necessary attention and focus.
  • Manage all ad hoc requests from the studio headquarters and report to all three studios.
  • Work closely with the marketing director, product managers, trade and partnerships manager, online agency, and the sales team to ensure the strategic direction for each release is successfully implemented according to plan. Ensure that regular reports are available on each title to share internally and with the Head Office.
  • Guide the Publicity & Social Media Coordinator by giving clear instructions and guidance in developing PR skills.
  • Create creative launch ideas specific to each release that amplify objectives, strategy, and subject matter-results to present to Head Office.
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with various media outlets, getting the required results.
  • Direct contact with Head Office on junkets and other press events.
  • Responsible for managing the publicity budgets on designated theatrical releases.
  • Negotiate with suppliers for specific publicity needs.
  • Communicate and work with production companies during the campaign for local releases.
  • Ensure all communication going out is within the strategy and guidelines of all three studios.
  • Seek new and different approaches and ideas to bring freshness to each film within strategy.
  • Work closely with Publicity & Social Media Coordinator on activations with digital creators/influencers.
  • Implement digital media (websites/ social media, trailer launches etc.) to the publicity campaign in a unique way.
  • Responsible for 'Talent' when visiting our territory for promotion and organizing local junket, hotel, premiere, press schedules etc.


Qualifications

  • Academic (WO) level /HBO, preferably in a Marketing area
  • Proven experience in a similar role within an international environment, preferably within Film/Media/Music
  • Interested in the Dutch entertainment landscape and entertainment in general
  • Understanding of media, publicity and promotions
  • Knowledge and passion for movies is a plus
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Constantly creative and takes out-of-the-box initiatives
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize workload effectively
  • Capable of working to tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in Dutch and English
  • Good organizational skills and flexibility
  • Good commercial mindset
