We are recruiting for a number of exciting Account Executive role (New Business only) in the Public Sector. If you have experience in Public Sector sales, working via SITA, managing local or municipal accounts as well as experience selling new cyber security services into Government departments, we want to hear from you!
The goal is to deliver service excellence and new products to our existing customera and to build a pipeline of new business opportunities which they can successfully transition into new customers. The successful candidate is also expected to be able to work with Mimecast Public Sector partners as well as bring your experience in relationships with existing public sector customers to the table.
What you'll do
- Identification of sales opportunities and the strategy in assigned Public Sector accounts
- Identify and implement strategies to sell solutions into new Public Sector accounts
- Identify and implement strategies to sell solutions onto new state purchasing contracts and vehicles
- Achieve monthly / quarterly / annual new business and upsell targets.
- Work with the Partner / Channel Development team to develop and execute against account plans
- Develop and execute against sales activity plans to achieve the agreed targets
- Understand the compliance and governance of engaging with Public Sector customers and partners.
- Have a deep understanding of the SITA / End Customer and Partner relationship
- Build and maintain relationships with new business prospects
- Manage Business Administration by generating the reporting of the Key Performance Indicators and general CRM housekeeping
- Sign up to and execute against a set of end-to-end sales methodology and process
- Monitor and report on activities while providing relevant management information
- Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties, aid business, and develop organizationally
- Attend trainings and develop relevant knowledge and skills
- Weekly end user activities
- Number of net new qualified opportunities added to the pipeline
- Pipeline stats – pipeline movements
- Forecasting accuracy
What you'll bring
- IT sales experience (ideally within Email / Messaging / Security / Storage - but not essential)
- Proven new business sales achievement (wth tangible examples) in large accounts against target in Public Sector
- Established relationships in large public sector customers (SOE, National and Municipality levels)
- Ideally with experience of both Direct & Indirect sales roles.
- Understanding of Public Sector contracts, cycles and their buying processes Desirable skills
- Strong business / commercial acumen
- Have a deep understanding of the SITA / End Customer and Partner relationship
- Strong communication/presentation skills (Written and Verbal)
