Job Description

Overview: 

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Public Safety Liaison to join our team. This role involves business development within the National Association of State 911 Administrators (NASNA) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) organizations. The successful candidate will play a key role in introducing new business opportunities in key states and strategic regions, assisting with grant language and applications, and supporting the Government Affairs team as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within state and federal organizations.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in strategic states.

  • Promote solutions and services to potential clients and partners.

Grant Support:

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of grant applications.

  • Develop and refine grant language to align with funding requirements and organizational goals.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to gather necessary information and documentation for grant proposals.

Government Affairs Support:

  • Provide support to the Government Affairs team on various initiatives and projects.

  • Assist in the coordination and execution of government relations strategies.

  • Monitor and report on relevant legislative and regulatory developments.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business and relationship development, preferably within public safety or related sectors.

  • Strong understanding of NASNA and NHTSA organizations and their operations.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with grant writing and application processes.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Willingness to travel as needed.

  • Familiarity with RapidDeploy's products and services.

Target Base Salary Range: $67,100 - $150,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.


Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, or a related field

  • 10+ years of experience working with government agencies or in a government affairs role

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
