Position Overview: The Provider Enrollment Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate enrollment of healthcare providers across various clinical practice entities and payor programs. Reporting directly to the Practice Manager, this role requires a nimble, persistent, and detail-oriented professional who understands the complexities of provider enrollment in a multistate healthcare environment, with a particular focus on New York (NY) and California (CA).
Key Responsibilities:

Document Collection and Oversight: Ensure the timely collection of provider documents necessary for enrollment. Maintain accurate and organized records of provider documentation.

Compliance and Coordination: Work closely with provider leadership to ensure team members comply with all internal and external requests related to enrollment and credentialing. Stay informed of regulatory requirements and ensure compliance across all states of operation.

Payor Program Management: Generate and report on the status of providers for each payor program. Monitor and track enrollment progress to identify and resolve delays.

Multistate Enrollment Expertise: Navigate the unique requirements of provider enrollment for clinical practice entities in multiple states. Leverage knowledge of NY and CA-specific enrollment processes to ensure smooth operations in these key regions.

Collaboration and Reporting: Collaborate with provider leadership to address and resolve enrollment issues. Create and present regular status updates to stakeholders, highlighting progress, challenges, and solutions.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in provider enrollment or credentialing, with multistate experience strongly preferred.

Strong understanding of provider enrollment processes, including NY and CA-specific requirements.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.

Proficiency in using enrollment tracking systems and reporting tools.

Problem-solving skills and persistence in resolving enrollment challenges.
