Projects Sustainability Manager
The Sustainability Manager will help the implementation of BU’s sustainability initiatives, focusing on reducing environmental impact of projects while ensuring compliance with client requests and relevant sustainability regulations. The role involves developing and implementing sustainability strategies, managing projects aimed at achieving sustainability goals, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to promote eco-friendly and social practices. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sustainability in business, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive organizational change.
What you will do
Develop and Implement Business Unit Transmission Sustainability Strategies:
- Create and execute comprehensive Business Unit Transmission sustainability strategies aligned with the company’s goals
- Lead initiatives to reduce environment impact (biodiversity, circular economy, carbon footprint, waste and water usage) across the Business Unit accordingly with Prysmian Group Sustainability targets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability practices across all departments.
Sustainability Tender & Project Management:
- Cascade sustainability strategy within clients requirements, defining strategy and targets
- During projects execution, ensure targets are achieved and, if not, be responsible to scale vs other functions involved
- Manage budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for sustainability projects within the BU
- Conduct assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans in ESG topics
- Relationship with clients to manager sustainability requests
Innovation and Research:
- Align with Group R&D department on sustainability initiatives with a specific focus in HV solutions
Supply Chain Sustainability:
- Work with internal Group functions (e.g Group procurement) to ensure the company’s supply chain adheres to sustainable and ethical practices.
Who you are

Experience: 5+ years of experience in sustainability management, environmental consulting, or a related field.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, or related disciplines. A specialization/master in Environmental Science and Sustainability topics is a plus
- Project Management: Proven experience managing large sustainability projects, with strong organizational and planning skills.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of ESG regulations (focus in carbon footprint, LCA, circular economy, biodiversity, human rights), sustainability frameworks (e.g., GRI, CDP) and reporting standards.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex sustainability concepts to diverse audiences.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address sustainability challenges effectively.
- Collaboration: Ability to engage with various stakeholders, including senior management, employees, suppliers, and external agencies.
