What you will do:

The Senior Project Manager must be capable of managing complex projects, involving multi-discipline and multi-technologies delivery and with relevant outcome impact to the Tracfone's business. The role's main duty is to plan, organize lead and control all aspects of a project efficiently and effectively. The job requires in-depth knowledge and extraordinary skills of superior project managers.

The Senior Project Manager role will involve the business case creation, coordination of project requirements, production of project plans, documentation and the provision of guidance for project teams, including external vendors, and ensuring communication is maintained between all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, while also ensuring all organizational procedures are adhered to, objectives are identified and met, and benefits realized from the implementation of the solution.

The Senior Project Manager will primarily be responsible to ensure that assigned projects produce the required deliverables within the defined quality, time and cost constraints and to facilitate full realization of benefits defined in the Business Case. The Senior Project Manager candidate must possess a minimum of 8 years of project mgmt. experience, developed across various types of technology projects. PM Certification is a major asset. The Senior Project Manager candidate must possess good planning, communication and consulting skills, financial forecasting, effective people management, risks identification, mitigation plans, and issue resolution skills.

Responsibilities:

Project Management (Planning)

  • Develops and implements project management programs encompassing all the details of a project to the team members.
  • Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project
  • Establishes realistic goals and implement action plans for achieving set objectives
  • Ensures availability of material and human resources required to successfully complete a project
  • Manages every aspect of a project, including its planning, communication, risk assessment, and resources.
  • Define and clarify project scope by working with the business owner, stakeholders and any 3rd party vendors that may be part of the project
  • Gather and document functional and technical requirements using standard project management/business analysis methodologies such as team meetings, documents review, workflow analysis, etc.
    Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs.


Leading

  • Provide on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
  • Assist in dispute, negotiation, arbitration or litigation, as needed among all project team members
  • Develop and deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication
  • Communicate with appropriate internal and external resources to ensure projects success.



Project Management (Execution & Monitoring)

  • Evaluates the progress of a project to detect limitations or faults in order to overcome mistakes and achieve targets by detecting the mistake or fault in a timely manner.
  • Uses specialized tools and techniques to delegate and ensure even distribution of tasks to project team members.
  • Ensure that projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards
  • Manage project and program issues and risks to mitigate impact to baseline
  • Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
  • Act as an internal quality control check for the project



Project Management (Communication)

  • Develops internal and external communication strategies useful in ensuring communication between various departments of an organization.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations to various audiences, including project team, sponsors and key stakeholders
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project and program team, analyze results and troubleshoot problem areas
  • Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication
  • Define success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project and program life cycle



Project Management (Industry / Tools / Department Support)

  • Participates in educational programs to update job knowledge and expand personal network
  • Monitors industry trends to identify changes in project strategies, tools, terminology and to adjust accordingly.
  • Participates in the recruiting and orienting of project personnel



Required Experience

  • Master's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
  • Industrial Engineering background preferred
  • 8+ years of project management experience, including tracking and planning projects
  • 8+ years of experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment
  • 8+ years of previous experience with gathering requirements from the client / business and documentation
  • 8+ years of experience with full product lifecycle with understanding of development lifecycle and various technology methodologies that support that lifecycle
  • Excellent experience in SDLC Methodologies, Agile, SCRUM, SDLC / Waterfall.
