Job Summary:
We are seeking a Project Planner I to support project scheduling and planning activities under the guidance of senior planners and project managers. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with foundational knowledge of project planning principles who are eager to develop expertise in scheduling, critical path analysis, and project coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or other scheduling tools.
- Work with cross-functional teams to gather activity durations, dependencies, and resource requirements.
- Track project progress and update schedules based on actual performance.
- Support critical path analysis and help identify potential schedule risks.
- Assist in preparing reports, dashboards, and schedule-related documentation for stakeholders.
- Monitor key project milestones and support schedule adherence.
- Communicate with team members to ensure schedule accuracy and alignment with project objectives.
- Contribute to risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies in collaboration with senior planners.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–4 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, or related roles.
- Basic understanding of project scheduling concepts, dependencies, and critical path methodology.
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Primavera P6 or MS Project is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, or engineering projects.
- Exposure to Earned Value Management (EVM) and scheduling best practices.
- Ability to interpret Gantt charts and project schedules.
