The primary purpose of the Project Manager role is to manage and control Health Information Technology projects at Altera Managed Services client site in Whittier, CA to ensure project completion on time with limited system downtime, to budget and to meeting client's business needs. Projects will be across IT Infrastructure, Applications, Business Processes and Construction/IT.
- Provide project management control on key initiatives, including but not limited to IS Infrastructure improvements for network, servers, security, telecom and desktop; managing and delivering solutions to market; and/or to internal process improvement.
- Support Solution and Technical Infrastructure Teams or Business Leaders to define overall work breakdown structure, detailed tasks, and assess impacts on other projects.
- Manage projects in conformance with structured PMO methodology and required documentation.
- Work with Project Team to define, estimate & schedule specific tasks to achieve project scope.
- Provide a platform for communication and relationship management -- engage stakeholders for buy-in, relieve bottlenecks & complexity.
- Provide performance monitoring, information and reporting; help diagnose root cause of problems.
- Identify and escalate critical issues in a timely manner. Ensure teams are taking corrective action as necessary to deliver complete scope, desired quality and timeliness of strategic programs.
- Keep teams apprised via project plans, meetings and discussion minutes of project tasks identified, tasks to be completed, and work not completed.

Academic and Professional Qualifications:
- PMP Certification Preferred
- ITIL Certification Preferred
- Successful completion of Bachelor’s degree or relevant Business / Information Technology experience.
Experience:
- 3 years project management experience required.
- Previous information technology technical / infrastructure project management experience, including network, server and security related projects preferred.
- Solid knowledge of project management methodologies, tools & techniques.
- Strong ability to collaborate with individual contributors to define business process issues, analyze operational efficiencies, implement creative solutions, and measure delivery results.
- Demonstrable project management skills, including influencing, communications and tracking skills, and planning and organization.
- Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to thrive in a highly critical, fast-paced environment.
Travel Requirements:
- Potential local travel will vary depending on project requirements
Working Arrangements:
- Work is performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards; substantial time is spent working on a computer, having meetings and on conference calls.
