We are seeking an experienced Industrial Automation Project Manager with 8-10 years of expertise in automation systems, including PLCs, RTUs ,Control Panels, HMIs and SCADA. The Ideal candidate should have a strong technical foundation with hands on experience early in their career and a proven track record in project management. This role is with Qatar's largest and most dynamic automation company ,offering challenging projects and excellent career growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management:
- Lead end to end automation projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, while monitoring project progress and resolving issues.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to meet project objectives.
- Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders.
Technical Oversight:
- Oversee the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of automation systems (PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, SCADA).
- Ensure technical compliance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges during project execution.
- Capable of coordinating and leading the execution via remote execution teams.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and alignment with project goals.
- Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for future projects.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- PMP certification (preferred).
Experience:
- 8–10 years of experience in industrial automation, with hands-on exposure to PLCs, RTUs, Control Panels, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
- At least 3–5 years of project management experience in automation or related industries. ∙
Skills:
- Strong technical expertise in industrial automation systems and protocols.
- Proficient in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with international or Qatar standards (e.g., IEC, QCS, ISA etc).
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in the Middle East or Qatar market is a plus.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
