As a Project Manager, you will perform a crucial role in managing several projects through all phases of the development lifecycle, observing generally accepted engineering principles. Project areas of focus include: initiation, execution, release and closing. You will manage partner communications, project requirements, work breakdown, development engineering, testing and release. Your work directly impacts the strategic goals of Lifecycle Services. Some domestic travel may be required to meet with team members and facilitate project progress. You will report to the Solutions Manager and work hybrid from Monterrey/Mexico City/Queretaro.
Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, cost forecasting, monitoring, documentation, control and reporting on all aspects of assigned projects, coordinating internal and external development and test resources and working with resource managers and other project managers to ensure staffing, project understanding and integration.
- You will also own project priorities and delivery of project expectations, and identify any issues and mitigate risk among a the project team
- You will need to use project management techniques, tools and established standards to ensure project deliverables are met.
- You will lead within a technical team environment, and manage a geographically dispersed engineering and project delivery organization and making use of collaboration tools and remote management skills.
- You will be responsible that the documentation follows the QMS (Quality Management System) requirements.
- You will lead meetings throughout the project life (internal KOM, customer KOM, project status, etc).
- You will work on a team of engineers, technical leaders, analysts to allow new features for internal customers, while keeping our applications secure and stable. Attack roadblocks and impediments to delivering incremental value.
- You will lead and gather lessons learned through the project.
- You will ensure with the Technical Leader the design, implementation, test, and startup phases of complex systems projects. Ensure the creation and approval of any Engineering Design and Functional Specification. Facilitate and ensures the use of templates, procedures, and standards.
- You will report project status, issues, lead, and follow-up the material status with the buyer.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS in Engineering; further education in engineering/administration.
- Knowledge of industry, application, or technology knowledge relevant to industrial automation controls, IT/OT.
- The ability to travel 25% of the time.
- English +80% (proof by Test)
