Project Manager

Overview:

• Blue Yonder, a leading AI-driven Global Supply Chain Solutions Software Product Company and one of Glassdoor’s “Best Places To Work” is seeking a leader that has a strong technical foundation for the product development and engineering team. This leader will have a deep knowledge of industry best practices on development methodologies (Agile, SAFe, Kanban…) and leverage the same to inspire and motivate the team towards consistent and quality delivery of our solution to market.
• As an engineering manager, you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of typically one single project of medium scope, or more than one small product or projects. This includes all aspects of the project i.e inception, Design & Develop, Deploy & Operate.
• Manages the project teams associated with the project, including recruiting and managing resources for the project, as well as coaching and mentoring members of the team to progress on their career paths.
• Coordinates with key constituents outside of Product Development, including Product Management, Sales, Support, Services, and customers.

Scope:

• Experienced in Building & Delivering SaaS based products on Public Cloud Platforms (Preferably Azure) right from Inception, Design & Develop, Deploy & Operate phases.
• Innovate and optimize engineering processes and standards, drive adoption throughout organization.
• Lead decision-making and collaboration across a broad network of stakeholders, delivery partners, and operational teams.
• Lead operational excellence and appropriate incident management and resolution.
• Vigilantly focus on customer success.
• Leads by example inspires team to excel, promotes teamwork and high morale.
• Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of products, and developing SaaS based products.
• Maintain and lead awareness of industry best practices and relevant technologies.
• Manages the day-to-day team activities to ensure the team adheres to operational guidelines.
• Hire, develop, and cultivate amazing people and teams.
• Facilitates team associates in product/technology knowledge areas and triage techniques.
• Motivates and mentors - develops an environment where associates work well together and are
• empowered, challenged and motivated.

Our current technical environment:

• Software/Tools: Git Actions, Gradle, Python, Java, SpringBoot, Microservices Design patterns
• Application Architecture: Scalable, Resilient, event driven, secure multi-tenant Microservices architecture; Domain Driven Design
• Cloud Platform: MS Azure
• Frameworks/Others: AKS, Docker, GIT, SnowFlake, Elastic Search

What you’ll do:

• Oversees all performance management matters including formal performance reviews as well as frequent reviews, and scheduled one-on-ones with associates.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent preferred
• 12 - 15 years relevant experience leading engineering teams
• Experienced in Building & Delivering SaaS based products on Public Cloud Platforms (Preferably Azure) right from Inception, Design & Develop, Deploy & Operate phases.
• Strong programming experience and background in Python
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Experience in Managing Medium to Large teams
• Ability to oversee multiple complex project deliveries in parallel
• Proactively identify program risks and come up mitigation plans for on scope and on time release of roadmap.
• Leads decision-making and collaboration across a broad network of stakeholders, delivery partners, and operational teams.
• Manages the project teams associated with the project, including recruiting, and managing resources for the project, as well as coaching and mentoring members of the team to progress on their career paths.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication & presentation skills
