Position: Project Manager
Location: Tokyo, office based

Reporting to: President – Japan
Job purpose:
The Project Manager is responsible for the entire process from project setup to project delivery. They support Project Leaders to ensure that all back-end activities of project delivery are completed as per the plan. The projects are primarily funded locally by clients in Japan, but some are funded by global pharmaceutical organizations focused on their presence in the Japanese market.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational set up of the project as directed by the Project Leader
- Project Workbook development under guidance of the Project Leader
- Briefing/debriefing to the field team assigned on the project.
- Conduct head office interviews for the project as needed.
- Draft the storyline for the projects under guidance of the Project Leader
- Complete the slide deck for the project delivery.
Essential Skills
- More than 3 years of marketing or commercial analytical experience in the pharmaceutical industry or at a consultancy firm.
- Assertive, dynamic, a communicative leader.
- Excellent critical thinking and demonstrated analytical skills.
- Collaborative skills with strong emotional intelligence.
- Degree Qualified, preferable an MBA.
- Create the culture of teamwork, focused on personal aspiration and achievement for all team members
- Excellent time management skills.

STEM projects are designed to quantify and benchmark internal alignment from direction to execution across functions, holding up a mirror that prioritises strengths to build from and opportunities to improve. We work with sales and marketing, medical and market access teams.
The STEM process quantifies up to 102 KPIs but the action plan focuses on 2-3 priorities to further accelerate performance. We work quickly so the results are timely and highly actionable - typically from the first interviews to the results presentation the process takes 6-8 weeks.
