Job Description: The Project Manager manages business-critical, and customer-facing projects/programs through application of standard project management practices to drive consistency and deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.  This position will be accountable for driving project completion through all stages of the project (Initiation, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling, and Closing), ensuring stakeholder engagement, and developing and executing project communication and change management plans. This includes gaining stakeholder alignment on project scope, workstreams, key milestones, project budget, and Key Process Indicators (KPIs), developing project plans, forming project teams, facilitating meetings, identifying, and managing dependencies, and providing escalation of issues and risks. In addition, the PM IV will likely lead multiple and more complex projects simultaneously and be involved in developing key processes related to project management as well as working with leaders to prioritize work and measure outcomes.   

Core Responsibilities:

  • Works with leaders to define and prioritize key projects and translates them into actionable, measurable projects/programs 

  • Develops an understanding of business goals, objectives, and strategies to ensure alignment and prioritization of project/program execution; develops/monitors/reports on KPIs for a variety of projects and teams 

  • Facilitates steering committee meetings to provide project status updates, raise and resolve escalations, and drive decision making at senior-level 

  • Communicates decisions, direction, issues from governance meetings to the core project team members 

  • Performs supply chain analytics/analysis, process mapping, data collection or analysis, project status updates, project plan updates and other O&M related services under the direction of project leader. 

  • Leads key projects/programs and provides project management subject matter expertise to implement projects that deliver agreed upon results  

  • Works across businesses and functions to lead projects/programs aligned to business objectives 

  • Ensures project status information (schedules, deliverables, costs, risks, issues, etc.) passes to and from key stakeholders 

  • Listens and responds appropriately to customer and co-worker requests, communicates effectively with clients and team members, to clarify understanding, diffuses tense situations, and delivers information 

  • Works to adjust to client preferences regarding the format and style of consulting activities and reports, and the ability to prepare charts, graphs and written assessments 

  • Effectively initiates, plans, executes, monitors and controls, and closes complex projects / programs 

  • Leads multiple projects simultaneously and move projects/programs forward in the face of ambiguity 

  • Quickly grasps complex issues and drive change 

  • Build relationships and drives project outcomes by getting work done through others 

  • Displays persistent and steadfast focus on long-term objectives despite obstacles, discouragement, or distraction 

  • Other duties as assigned  

Education & Qualifying Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline, required 

  • PMP or PMI certification, preferred 

  • Formal training/experience with project management and continuous improvement methodologies, preferred  

  • 7 – 9 years of experience of successfully managing high-profile/complex business projects in a regulated environment (with a preference toward the healthcare or medical device industry) 

  • Successful track record of project management leading cross-functional teams 

  • Experience leading major business projects 

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with and positively influence at all levels of the organization 

  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive team member who welcomes challenges 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to seek problem resolution 

  • Manages time and resources effectively through strong organization, multi-tasking, and time management skills 

  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite  

  • Analyzes information to make sound business decisions taking prudent business risks as appropriate 

  • Demonstrated data analytics, planning and organizational skills 

  • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time for business purposes
