Job Description
Our specialized and growing team is looking for an experienced project manager to oversee the planning and design of major projects for a leading institutional client on the South Shore of Montreal. Join our dynamic project management team and contribute to ambitious projects.
You will be responsible for coordinating the design with the client's professionals, managing communications and approval requests with government partners (ministries, municipalities, parapublic organizations), and supporting the preparation of the business case. You will also be responsible for consultations with school teams.
This position requires you to be in the client's office 3 days a week.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage large-scale projects with budgets of over $30 million and participate in preliminary design studies
- Ensure that the professionals involved respect the functional, conceptual and technical needs and standards established by the customer and ministerial requirements and the established budget
- Help stakeholders find solutions to ensure sound project management and implementation
- Intervene with managers to resolve issues that may affect profitability, schedules, suppliers or on-time delivery
- Prepare and lead follow-up meetings with the customer and other partners to ensure that the project runs smoothly
- Be involved in all operational and strategic project management activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering
- Minimum ten years' experience in project management
- Member of the Ordre des architectes du Québec (OAQ) or the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), mandatory
- PMP certification (asset)
- Good knowledge of construction and project management
- Fluency in spoken and written French
