TEAM

The Arene Project Management Office (PMO) fosters tracking of well-defined, well-scoped and well-planned Projects to agree upon budget, schedule, and quality-driven requirements. The team works closely with Customers, Engineering and Business organizations to coordinate the execution to ship products on schedule, on budget while meeting all compliance requirements (quality, safety, security and privacy). The team provides an unbiased view of the status of the various projects to keep the organization accountable. The team also monitors the results and measures whether the intended business value was achieved.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a project management leader from an automotive or software development background, with a proven track record of managing and delivering on complex projects with multiple stakeholders, with experience in bringing a vehicle to Start Of Production and working with partners against an overall master schedule. We are also looking for a candidate with experience in building, growing and leading a team of high-performing professionals. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a senior member of the PMO:

・Define the appropriate PM methodology and PMO structure to best serve the news of ARENE Engineering and Solutions

・Define and implement project management best practices within the team

・Maintain strong relationships with both the engineering and business teams, acting as a bridge between technical execution and business value

As a Project Manager:

・Manage and negotiate the scope of a project to ensure its deliverability

・Work in close collaboration with the engineering teams to collectively define project deliverables and track execution

・Ensure that issues raised by the customer are owned by the PM and manage the engagement with required stakeholders to drive to resolution

・Lead the presentation of project status to specific committees

・Identify gaps in the project delivery and manage conflicts between teams (e.g. for competing priorities)

・Engage executive level stakeholders

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years experience in project management (or equivalent functions) within the automotive industry, with experience in bringing a vehicle to Start of Production and working with suppliers against an overall master schedule
• Experience of setting up a PM office, selecting and leading change management around adopting a common approach in an organization
• Very comfortable with matrix organization and leading in ambiguity and polarities
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Japanese
• Strong track record of developing teams and talent
• Compelling and convincing communication skills at all levels of the organization
• Ability to communicate with and earn the trust of both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to operate and deliver under ambiguity
• Ability to implement continuous kaizen to drive constant improvement on project delivery 
• Skilled at resolving complex situations and conflicts in a positive and generative ways

NICE TO HAVES

• Experience in IT or Software development
• Multiple PM certifications
