Leidos is seeking a summer intern with a Computer Science background to join our team in support of the SMIT contract, the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under the Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT), Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, the Leidos team will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network. The successful candidate will support Windows desktop, supporting software, and hardware systems.
Primary Responsibilities
Contribute to the User Support Engineering team’s projects
- Participate in the planning of upgrades, replacement, configuration, and maintenance of core build and electronic SW distribution
- Collaborate with external customers, management, subcontractors, vendors, and other engineering disciplines
- Coordinate with team members to complete end-to-end delivery of SW products or projects
- Manage team SPRINT activities including leading sprint meetings and maintaining sprint boards in JIRA
- Track service management tickets
- Create project documentation
- Create/update JIRA taskings
- Report on delivery/status of tickets/projects
- Support the development and maintenance of processes, checklists, and procedures
Basic Qualifications
- Enrolled in a degree program with an emphasis in Project Management with graduation planned in late 2025 - 2027
- Knowledge in technical terms/fields for effective communication with team members
- Ability to obtain a security clearance - US citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Jira, Agile planning, and project management

Pay Range:Pay Range $39,000.00 - $70,500.00
