The Project Manager is responsible for delivering complex enterprise-level telecommunications projects that facilitate network buildouts to multiple dwelling units (MDUs), commercial buildings, anchor institutions, and line extension projects. This role involves end-to-end management of project timelines, budgets, and stakeholder relationships, ensuring the successful execution of high-value initiatives.

The Project Manager is the central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, leveraging expertise in provisioning, logistics, and network deployments. This position focuses on coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones and drive customer satisfaction, emphasizing continuous improvement and operational excellence.


Essential Job Functions

Develop detailed project work plans with defined deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.

Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery.

Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, addressing questions, issues, and concerns promptly.

Facilitate effective communication across internal teams and external vendors.

Coordinate with engineering, construction, and provisioning teams to manage the delivery of network services and products.

Ensure material procurement aligns with project requirements and timelines.

Maintain comprehensive project status updates, including progress reports, schedules, and financial performance metrics.

Provide feedback to refine internal procedures for improved efficiency and scalability. Identify and resolve issues affecting delivery intervals and material logistics.

Help source, negotiate, and manage third-party vendors and contractors for services and materials as needed.

Oversee budget adherence and contract terms compliance.


Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong project management skills with experience managing network buildouts and upgrades.

Proficient in provisioning management, cross functional team management, and logistics.

Expertise in telecommunications services and products.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and SmartSheets, and other CRMs.

Ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships and mediate competing priorities.

Skilled in issue resolution and process optimization.


Education and Experience

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in telecommunications project and program management.

Demonstrated success managing enterprise-level telecom projects with cross-functional teams.

Certifications:

PMP certification is preferred but not required.


Desired Knowledge and Abilities

Familiarity with fiber optic network standards, permitting processes, and regulatory requirements.

In-depth understanding of procurement and vendor management specific to telecom network builds.

Hands-on experience managing budgets, forecasting, and cost analysis.
