Job Description

🚀 The Job Mission: Project Manager – Change

We are looking for a Project Manager – Change to lead the delivery of multiple business change workstreams within the Digital and IT team. This is a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of change strategies across multi-million-pound programmes that are critical to the operational IT of the HPC project.

You’ll work closely with Business Analysts, Project Managers, and digital partners to embed and enhance business change practices, ensuring that all workstreams deliver measurable business benefits and align with the broader business change strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Delivery and Oversight:

  • Support the Business Change Manager in driving the Business Change Strategy across Digital and IT programmes (circa 80 people).
  • Lead the delivery of multiple Business Change workstreams, embedded in programme and project activities.
  • Provide Intelligent Customer Oversight to ensure external digital partners and Systems Integrators deliver high-quality change initiatives.
  • Ensure Digital Business Cases define clear Business Benefits with robust KPIs for Benefits Realisation.

Quality Assurance and Mentoring:

  • Ensure quality and consistency in Business Change deliverables across projects and programmes.
  • Mentor and line-manage junior team members as required, fostering their professional development.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work closely with Business Analysts and Project Managers to align business change activities with overall programme objectives.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for business change resources, managing costs and ensuring alignment with project budgets.
  • Provide regular performance reports to the NNB Business Change Manager.

Continuous Improvement and Best Practice:

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Business Change methodologies, ensuring they remain innovative, effective, and fit for purpose.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need:

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience managing multiple business change workstreams within a multi-million-pound change portfolio, ideally in an IT environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage at all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrated leadership competencies with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in coordinating Business Change across complex programmes.
  • Ability to mentor and manage junior resources.
  • Change Management Certification such as Prosci or APMG Change Management.
  • Membership of ACPM or CMI, with a degree or equivalent qualification.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in nuclear, energy, construction, or manufacturing sectors.
  • 5+ years’ experience delivering the people side of change in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to provide oversight and assurance to external business change teams embedded within programmes.
