What you'll do:

Responsible for the design & development of existing mechanical and/or electronic product components and creation & validation of new components. Additionally analyze technical solutions with suppliers, factory, and other functions. Work autonomously, following established procedures and guidelines to contribute to improvement. Solve a range of straightforward to complex problems.

In detail, you will: 

• Initiate technical feasibility study for projects with inputs in business feasibility study.

• Technical lead as cross functions CXCA Group Global, Food Preservation

• Broaden competence in own area; still acquire higher level skills

• Prioritize and organize own work to deliver to agreed deadlines

• Discuss manufacturing process for product and component development with PD-ME-IE-Tooling Team to ensure clear direction and understanding of the desired result.

• Prepare and maintain product files (BOM, Drawings, Specs, Test Specs) on PLM system (Team Center).

• Understand technical tests results to take decision on design development and final approval for series production

• Analyze technical solutions with suppliers, product care, and other involved functions

• Ensure that all engineering requirements and modifications are represented on the engineering drawings.

• Supply all technical input for product literature, labels, technical manuals, etc.

• Support the product care team in cost and quality improvement activities.

• Lead the competitor-technology benchmark activity

• Ensure benchmarking of competitors products on: Technical / functional level & Cost Level.

• Master robust design tools using (CAD, CAE, FMEA, DFMA, tolerances analysis etc.) to develop 2D, 3D CADs, prototypes

• Identify and support standardization by ensuring that new development fit into the platform and subsystem structure.

• Participate and support the Technology Team in TRM Projects

• Participate in customer focus programs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor ’s Degree in Engineering

• 5+ years of relevant experience in product development, preferably from home appliances industry

• Experience in plastic injection molding, sheet metal, extrusion, thermoforming components

• Knowledge in Products, General knowledge for refrigerator, Electrolux Product Development knowledge, Design for Assembly (DFA), Tooling Knowledge, Standard and Validation, and Software Tools

• Skills in Project management, Problem solving & Decision making, Collaboration

• CAD CATIA skills

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Good English proficiency
