Job Description
Role:
As a Project Leader Engineering, responsible for whole engineering phase from project initiate to realize at site. He leads the multi-disciplinary engineering team to achieve deliverables according to project planning. He understands VI process from sales to service. Good coordination and negotiation skill between VI internal, supplier and customer. Well controlled engineer risk, planning and budget. Delivers input to Project Manager to update the Latest Estimate (LE) from Mechanical Equipment, Controls Equipment, Software House.
Responsibilities:
1. Initiate engineering project
2. Studies the Order File on contents and budget and reports any attention points to the project manager and Group Leader Engineering;
3. Checks project specific non-default supply chain choices via Supply Plan;
4. Heads the Project Engineering Team;
5. Acts as the Health & Safety coordinator;
6. Organizes a Service review meeting to review the layout on Service aspects; requests Service Manager to delegate a service representative and creates the minutes of meeting makes an ‘Engineering Project Plan’ in case of deviation from standard VI procedures and instructions and for complex projects;
7. Makes a Survey document detailing the engineering deliverables;
8. Responsible for the execution of the project (Controls & Mechanical) in accordance with the Project Plan;
9. Makes an ‘Engineering Project Planning’;
10. Budget control for engineering scope
11. Plans regular project progress meetings with relevant disciplines.
12. System definition:
- organizes Engineering Design meetings if detail design was not discussed in the system assessment meeting;
- evaluates H&S risks together with the project team using the H&S risk assessment from the Sales phase;
- verifies and validates the Engineering Layouts and Functional Spec in What Happens If meeting;
13. Detailed engineering:
- ensures that the Installation file can be created according to planning;
- invites the supervisor and field wiring subcontractor for installation hand-over (including Engineering Instructions) and way of working regarding as built documentation;
- Updates the Engineering Closedown Report.
- create the material flow diagram including the system capacity and PLC split.
- create the process flow diagram based on the system process
- create the test case including the system functional test and system capacity test
- lead the discussion with client for the acceptance test
14. Materials and Equipment Supply:
- Monitor materials and equipment supply status with supply chain and project buyer according to project planning
15. Site installation, commissioning ,testing and acceptance:
- plan, coordinate and align engineering resources during site period when necessary
- Support and coordinate with site manager or Integration manager to solve site issues related with engineering.
- lead the integration testing and acceptance testing including the system functional test and system capacity test

Requirements / Qualifications:
Good English verbal and written communication skills Able to adapt to a multicultural work environment Above 3 years relevant experience, preferably in the field of logistic process automation or industrial system integration. Mechanical Engineering/ Control Engineering degree AUTOCAD and Navisworks experience Strong communication and coordination Skill Socially engaged, Results oriented, determined and confident Lead at least 1 middle size warehouse project as the key role(in solution design or system testing)
