THE TEAM

Ticketmaster Sport Tournaments division provides ticketing services to an increasing number of international sporting tournaments and events. Our services have been employed to provide the delivery of Ticketmaster’s ticketing services for World Rugby, including the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025, Men’s Rugby World cup 2027 and Women’s Rugby World Cup 2029.

THE JOB

The Project Manager will co-ordinate and implement the delivery of Ticketmaster’s ticketing services for World Rugby, including Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027 and Women’s Rugby World Cup 2029.

Based alongside the organising committee in Australia you will be responsible for managing the systems implementation and service operations alongside Ticketmaster’s Australia based support staff together with a tournaments management team located in the UK. You will oversee planning and delivery of all operational tasks, including event build and inventory management, onsale management, ticket fulfilment, tournament time recruitment of box office staff, access control management and ticket office provision and operations.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Recruiting and managing a small team of professionals to deliver all services for each World Rugby event

  • Manage client relationships with World Rugby and the Rugby World Cup 2027 Local organising committee at a senior level including working in the client office.

  • Working alongside Ticketmaster Sport and Ticketmaser Australia stakeholders and operations team to deliver all event related services for both our white label sports and marketplace platforms.

  • Assist in gathering system requirements with the aim of developing the ticketing platform.

  • Oversee critical project milestones.

  • Provide regular and ad-hoc project reporting and statistics as required.

  • Utilise the ticketing systems to assist in the delivery of the project.

  • Ensure that best practice system use is applied to project delivery

  • Manage systems and operational training for event time staff.

  • Ensure activities meet with, and integrate with organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care.

  • Any other tasks as defined by the Ticketmaster Management Team

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)

  • Demonstrated leadership ability.

  • Experienced in delivering multi-venue ticketing operations ticketing event projects

  • Skilled in the implementation and operation of ticketing systems

  • Excellent communication skills and persuasive in gaining agreement between all team members

  • English language essential.
