The Project Engineer leads communication with engineering disciplines and customers to ensure successful installation of equipment, manages project schedules, oversees subcontractors, and provides technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Communicate and lead with other engineering disciplines within the department, and ensure tasks are completed correctly and on time.
  • Communicate with customers to ensure successful installation of equipment on site.
  • Oversee sub-contractors as required.
  • Assist with product drawing and specification reviews as required.
  • Determine project objectives by reviewing handover documents and specifications.
  • Determine project specifications by analyzing product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.
  • Manage communication with customers throughout the life of the project.
  • Manage communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Plan and manage completion of project objectives from receipt of order to completion of commissioning.
  • Create project schedules to achieve successful project timelines.
  • Create procurement specifications and production demands while utilizing the company SAP system.
  • Provide general technical support to customers during the life of the project.
  • Support Sales and Service department with technical support, as required.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong networking skills and ability to work as a team with other departments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially experience with process equipment.
  • Ability to arrange multiple tasks and prioritize them to achieve customer satisfaction and company goals.
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well with other disciplines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to train team members on individual processes.
  • Excellent understating of customer relationships and risk management.
