As a Project Engineer in the Sustainable Business Energy Solutions Team, you'll be at the forefront of this renewable energy revolution, leading engineering design and technical sign-off for a diverse variety of energy solutions projects to deliver against operational objectives and project deadlines. You will also be helping incorporate new innovations and best practice into the AGL design standards and ways of working.

What you’ll be doing:

Development of safe designs and calculations for Energy Solution projects (inc. Solar PV and Energy Storage systems) to comply with relevant industry and WHS standards and meet deadlines required for Project Execution.

Specify project bill of materials, supplier and component selection.

Assist the Project Delivery Team to resolve technical issues encountered during the installation and adjust designs and drawings, accordingly, communicating with PMs, Installers and Customers as required.

Support onsite commissioning and hand-over to client.

Complete proactive HSE activities (e.g. field audits, HSE conversations) as per agreed targets.
What you’ll bring:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Photovoltaic Engineering including SAA Grid Connect PV Design Accreditation and SAA Grid Connect Storage Design Accreditation (desirable)

Experience within the solar industry including design and construction of rooftop solar systems up to 1MW.

Knowledge and experience with relevant design and engineering software (solar modelling & electrical component specification software including AutoCAD, PowerCAD, Helioscope).

Well-developed, detail orientated organization skills and good interpersonal and written / verbal communication skills.

Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
