RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in meeting compliance with OSHA, ISO, and RC regulations.
- Provide consistent support of plant policies, rules, and regulations.
- Participate in Safety Reviews, PSSR’s and other initiatives as needed
- Act as a Contractor Coordinator by adhering to the Contractor Management Procedure by evaluating contractors compliance to OSHA and site’s safety regulations
- Lead and manage CAPEX and maintenance projects from conception to project close-out. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, and resource allocation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and engineer solutions that meet operational needs.
- Prepare and manage project budgets. Monitor expenditures and implement cost-control measures to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage external contractors and suppliers. Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Assess potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery and plant operations.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative solutions to enhance plant performance and reduce operational costs.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation. Prepare and present regular progress reports to stakeholders and senior management.
- Work closely with plant operations, maintenance, and other departments to ensure seamless project integration and alignment with business objectives.
- Provide feedback to other groups including, but not limited to, production, technical, engineering, etc.; in support of continuous improvement efforts.
- Use a collaborative and structured approach to solve chronic problem issues for plant equipment.
- Gather and examine reliability data from field studies or data bases, and correlate the data for analysis using well defined engineering techniques/principles/procedures.
- Determine the cost advantages of alternatives for developing action plans to comply with internal & external customer demands for reliable processes/equipment to avoid failures.
- Work with other engineers and receives guidance in the use of standard company procedures for use of reliability analysis specific to the product/process.
- Create and/or modify site work procedures, as needed to stay current with industry best practices.
- Activities as assigned by manager.
- Engage with site engineering in the conceptional-detailed engineering phase and support constructability evaluation
- Develop the project schedule with the site team around equipment availability
- Coordinate and facilitate contractor bid process
- In conjunction with the project responsible, manage to the project budget and evaluate/approve any field change orders
- Conduct routine field audits, performance, safety, and compliance.
- Manage all project documentation
- Conduct routine update meetings with site management
- Support Process Safety Start Up Reviews (PSSR) with project responsible.
- Support priorities during site turnarounds and as requested
- Participate in an On-Call support rotation to provide support to On-Call Maintenance Technicians.
- Maintain an updated CapEx forecast for the site, ensuring alignment with the company's financial goals and strategic objectives.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering within an industrial plant environment.
- Proven track record of managing CAPEX and maintenance projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Solid organization skills including attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Working knowledge of SAP and MS Office Suite.
- Possess a broad-based knowledge of engineering fundamentals, manufacturing, operations, standard industry practices, regulatory issues as well as cost and schedule management as they relate to project management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Project Management (PMP or similar).
