Job Description:
The Job/What You'll Do:
The Project Director, People & Culture, leads and manages complex projects across the organization, ensuring successful delivery on time, within budget, and aligned with company goals. This role involves overseeing project teams, workforce planning, budgeting, and ensuring that HR initiatives are effectively executed.
This is a full-time position in our Concord, CA office with a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities:
Project Leadership:
- Lead multiple projects, ensuring all objectives are met on time and within budget
- Works with project teams and provides direction and support throughout the project lifecycle
Planning & Execution:
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resources, and budgets
- Manage workforce planning to ensure the right resources are in place for projects
- Ensure project goals and objectives are clearly defined and understood
Stakeholder Management:
- Communicate regularly with internal /external stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback
- Manage expectations and resolve issues or conflicts as they arise
Team Coordination:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure collaboration and smooth project execution
- Assign tasks, track progress, and ensure the team is equipped to succeed
HR Calendar & Meeting Management:
- Oversee the HR calendar, ensuring key milestones and deadlines are met
- Prepare and manage agendas for HR monthly meetings, ensuring that critical topics are covered
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Monitor and address issues that could affect the project's success
Budget Management:
- Create and manage project budgets, ensuring financial resources are allocated efficiently
- Monitor and report on budget performance, making adjustments as needed. •
OKR & Performance Tracking:
- Manage and track OKRs to ensure projects are aligned with organizational goals
- Evaluate the success of projects using OKRs and provide regular updates to leadership
- Conduct post-mortem reviews after the project to assess strengths and identify areas for improvement
- Provide recommendations for process improvements and apply lessons learned to future projects
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
- Strong understanding of workforce planning, HR processes, and budget management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
- 7+ years of experience in project management, workforce planning, or a related field
- Proven experience leading large-scale or complex projects and managing budgets
Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $165,000-$180,000.
This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.
