To support its expanding activities DEME Concessions is looking to strengthen its Engineering Team with a Project Development Manager. You will be based at the head office of the DEME Group in Antwerp, and be directly involved with multidisciplinary project development teams. From within the Deme Concessions Engineering Team you report to the Engineering Team Manager and liaise closely with the respective Business Development Managers for project specifics.Your responsibilities

Leading the technical aspects of the development of offshore wind projects from the earliest stages to formation of the development company;

Carrying out and managing the Concept Studies, Design, Engineering, Cost estimation, Business planning, Permitting, etc of the different development projects;

Engage and manage external consultants in relation to Concept and (Pre-)FEED studies, Site Investigation surveys, modelling, planning, cost analyses, etc for the different development projects;

Contact with stakeholders & working together with partners;

Maintaining internal contacts (with all activity lines and departments within DEME) and external connections (engineers, consultants, contractors) in order to obtain the necessary timely input for the different projects and ensure the projects meeting their milestones;

Writing and compiling documents detailing amongst others NDA’s, RFQ’s, Employers Requirements, Design Basis, technical, contractual and commercial deliverables for feasibility studies, concession applications, subsidy tenders, etc.;

Technical, financial and contractual evaluation of received proposals from suppliers, service providers and EPCI contractors.

DEVEX/CAPEX, OPEX, Output estimations /budgeting / calculations;

Developing the tender/development process and set up a comprehensive milestone planning;

Technical and commercial assessment of wind turbines;

Identify Interfaces between different work-packages and the management thereof;

Identify Risks and Opportunities and the management thereof
Your profile

Master’s degree in engineering or relevant work experience in one or more of the following sectors: ports and maritime, offshore wind, wind turbine engineering or marine civil infrastructure;

Strong technical knowledge and understanding of wind turbines is a plus;

Good communicator, fluent in English (speaking, writing and reading). Proficiency in other languages is a plus;

Team player with an eye for detail and order (develop working relationship with partners and various internal and external stakeholders);

Conceptual & cross functional pro-active thinking with a strong “willing to learn" attitude;

A clear understanding of the developers role;

Able to keep work organized and planned and committed to cope with strict deadlines;

Foresee the day-to-day flexibility needs and see the variable subjects and timings as a challenge;

Master MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint and MS project.
