FROM THE HIRING MANAGER: Preference for a candidate that has a strong accounting and/or financial background over a candidate with only IT experience
Qualifications:
Required to work Hybrid reporting to any client location. Currently it is expected to be in the office Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Starting in September 2025, expected to be in the office Tuesday - Thursday.
Required Qualifications for Position
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information technology, or a related business discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• 5-7 years’ Experience in a similar role

Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position
• Related experience in the utility industry
• Experience using the ServiceNow Program Management Module
• Experience using Ariba to create Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, and manage invoices
Responsibilities:
Job Summary
The project controller will be responsible for IT project forecasting (present estimate creation and monthly updates), monthly project accruals and reclass entries, and vendor management (Purchase Requisition creation, Purchase Order creation, Invoice monitoring, Invoice approval, Invoice tracking).
Essential Functions
• Demonstrates strong forecasting, budgeting, accounting, and vendor management skills, and financial acumen with the ability to analyze and communicate trends.
• Proven ability to consistently meet monthly financial calendar deadlines.
• Assesses the financial impact of IT risks and issues and escalates them as needed to ensure timely resolution and minimal disruption.
• Communicates effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, using various methods such as presentations, reports, and diagrams.
• Applies problem-solving skills and analytical thinking to troubleshoot issues, resolves conflicts, and proposes solutions.
• Implements and promotes continuous improvement practices.
