Overview:

Job Title: Programmer

Location: Tampa, FL

(Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.)

Description:

As a General Programmer, you will play a pivotal role in developing, testing, and maintaining software applications that support mission-critical operations. You will work closely with a team of IT professionals to design and implement software solutions that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Your responsibilities will include coding, debugging, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and performance of software applications.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Develop, test, and maintain software applications to meet project requirements.
• Collaborate with project leads and other team members to design software solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure software applications are secure, scalable, and maintainable.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Document software designs, code, and procedures.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve software development processes.

Desired Qualifications:

• Five (5) or more years of related work experience in software development
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or similar.
• Experience with software development tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• U.S. Citizenship 
• Optional: Relevant programming or IT certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate)

Education: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
